At Notion, we are obsessed with building leaders – inside and out.  As a Director, you are a key leader in our organization, helping to guide the organization forward as well as leading clients and teams on solving their most complex business issues.  Work you might do in a typical day may include leading a new business pitch, innovating for a proposal, building relationships with potential clients, working on thought leadership, leading clients through a thought leadership workshop, developing change and communication strategies, program management, executing deliverables or presenting our latest thinking to our clients. We’re looking for someone who is proactive, nurturing, organized, dynamic, can easily connect with others, bring creative and insightful thinking to the table, hungry to build something and really dig in and deliver.  Notion’s consultants are comfortable with the uncomfortable, offering fresh insights and creative solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage programs, clients and project teams through deep understanding and delivery of the Notion Fast Track Method

  • Manage and/or sell between $750K-1M client business – overseeing multiple streams

  • Leading project teams and developing talent on those teams to deliver best in class work

  • Work with clients and teams to develop and deliver change strategies

  • Lead the development of vision, leadership strategies and approaches, talent management strategies and interventions, communication, engagement and change impact measurement strategies and implementation support

  • New and existing client relationship building and leadership

  • Lead business development efforts resulting in new business and relationships for Notion in partnership with Notion leadership

  • Ensure learning opportunities for the team to grow and develop, pushing their capabilities and capacity to deliver to the next level

  • Managing program budgets and work to ensure fiscal responsibility in the delivery of work

  • Lead teams on projects such as: Future of Work Strategies and Plans, Organizational Strategy, Vision & Culture Blueprints, Technology and Process Change Adoption Strategies and Plans, HR/Communication Effectiveness Coaching & Development, Restructuring Merger/Acquisition/Divestiture Programs 

  • Lead workshops and strategy sessions at all levels in an organization

  • Leadership and accountability to recruit and development of talent within the organization

  • Leadership and accountability to represent Notion’s culture and grow the business externally

  • Contribute to Notion’s culture and growth by leading internal initiatives 

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Communications, International Management or comparable experience

  • 15+ years practical experience in organizational effectiveness, change management, internal communications consulting

  • Strong leadership and ability to positively influence, coach and lead others to success

  • Ability to identify opportunities and turn them into projects through client relationships and knowledge of the industry

  • Experience working in a client-oriented, professional services environment with Fortune 500 organizations preferred

  • General knowledge of program management, business fundamentals, corporate strategy and organizational issues

  • Strong written and verbal communication and personal interaction skills

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a creative or visionary mindset

  • Ability to distill complex information into key themes; recognizing nuances in the data and using that data to tell a compelling story for the client

  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and multi-tasking demands

  • Ability to contribute individually and as a team member

  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to high quality and service excellence

  • Entrepreneurial spirit

  • Position requires travel as needed for project work
